Hawzah News Agency- Sheikh Hossein Al-Dihi, Deputy Secretary-General of Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society said,” The recent aggressions of the Al-Khalifa regime took place after the unexpected visit of the representative of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, who did not communicate with the opposition.”
He further noted, "The Bahraini regime shamelessly continues its repressive policies and summons, interrogates and insults scholars and Muslim preachers."
Sheikh Al-Dihi pointed out that Hussein Habib Badaw, a Bahraini child, was seriously injured in the head when a bullet was fired at him during the participation in a peaceful protest that demanded the improvement of the poor human conditions of political prisoners, who are suffering from the worst forms of persecution and torture.
He continued,” This incident is only a part of a long series of violations and aggressions that clearly reveal the deliberate and obvious intention of Al-Khalifa authorities to use excessive violence and brutal force against their nation.”
While warning that silence against this oppression means participating in the crime, he asked everyone to raise their voices to denounce and condemn these oppressive and inhumane policies and demand respect for religious and individual freedoms, the release of political prisoners and fundamental reforms in the political and security situation.
